Turn for the worse

My cuz had surgery last week and there was complications and he took a turn for the worse and is in critical condition. I turned it over to the Lord and he is in control now.  My prayers are with the rest of the family too.  There are so many of my cousins need a healing touch.  Keeping God busy!

to steal from Jesse....what is the cheapest smartest piece of boat equipment to buy???  Pagers went off at 4:15 am and bad president I was had mine on vibrate and didn't hear.  Had to let Harry call me. (yawn) pulled the boat out of the water.  Finished took shower and was at work by 10 am.  Then been busy all day w/lsur & scuba jenn stuff (yawn) trying to sale stuff but not doing too good on that. Market is nutso.

Time to go home and take kiddo to Wal-mart for back to school shopping.

working with idiots

Do you ever feel like you work with idiots?? Seems like people try to out think what I am telling them. If I say I need this....2 short and 1 long.....they argue......I tell someone to bill 117 tom and 0 Hen.....they bill 112 of each.......not the same person either.........maybe it's my communication skills.  I think things through though.

The phones have been messing up in NY at our HQ and we have been getting logged off & on all day. It is rather inconvenient when trying to answer calls.

Partly Cloudy

Today was a rainy drizzly day in the morning and a beautiful afternoon.  Stayed busy at work.  Got a few calls from my groupon customers.  Things are a bit slower on that. Had a very disturbing conversation w/my DM yesterday. I believe our ways have parted.  Oh well it was good while it lasted.  I will sorely miss his help.

Had the  night off last  night and watched Soul Surfer. The plot was good, some of the acting good, some really cheesy. But I did like it. 

My neice's gma-inlaw died today or last night. Very sad day for that family. 

I have a DSD small group tonight consists of 3 people.  2 youn ones at 6 and 1 on 7pm

Rainy mondays

What a galorious weekend it was! We had 5 open water divers, 2 advanced and a DM candidate.  Scott & Dale were instrumental in helping me! A big shout out!

So very sad that the weather is cooling.  Not ready for the cool & cold.  However the full moon rocked! I was so proud of my daughter she is coming along fantastic in the water.

Got to the office today thought about making coffee, the pot was green and gross from when Phil made coffee 2 months ago.  Hasn't been used since.

My check wasn't signed from last weekend, don't know if I can cash it or not.  Glad to be home. I will be home the next 2 weekends woop woop!

Christmas is early!

Today I pick up the Christmas music for our play. I am so excited to see what we have in store for our production!  So exciting!!!!  I will get to listen to it on the way down to Arkansas tomorrow.  Speaking of Arkansas, going to get down  there to do a night dive on Friday  night weather permitting!

I love how people are so condesending to others and so judgemental.....oh well.  Had a funny, I told my secretary about what she needed to do and she laughed because she knew I was going to when I came in.

Rise of the Apes

I liked the monkey movie!  The dinner was ok...but the service wasn't that good.  Soooo very slow.  My groupon did really great! 132!  Got 11 DSD to do tonight! Gonna be a good time! Yahooooo!!!!!

Monday what a busy day

Today has been a huge busy day! Praise the Lord!  My groupon is doing awesome! Praise the Lord.  I am coming down with a cold! Praise the Lord!  I get to go to church on Wed! Praise the Lord!

Had a wonderful weekend with the AI class... was long and tedious but was a joy! The boys did a great job!  I was deemed the NAZI instructor!  LOL

Going to take my hubby out for his birthday tonight. Going to go to Cheddars and then to see the  Rise of the Ape movie.

Well I took my kiddo to the train station today and watched her leave to go visit her sister.  My baby is growing up! First time she has traveled by herself.  I have never rode the train.  Looks fun!

Got a big recall for GT from Cargill today.  Suxs. Gonna be a busy day.  Feel so sorry for Roger. 

I slept really good last night but boy am I still tired.

not so special

My hubby calls me and is out running around and wanted to know if I wanted an ice cream. thought how sweet, but then he bought everyone an ice cream so don't feel so special now. Feel ordinary.

MEN

Why do men have such ego issues? How hard is it to humble yourself and offer to assist someone? They may not want your help, or maybe grateful for your help. If you don't ask though, that could be interfering and they have a different solution in mind. Just sayin.........

Night off

I had a wonderful night off last night.  Cooked dinner for my family and did my laundry then parked my butt on the couch and watched Burn Notice, Suits, Covert Affair...Covert Affair was rather silly in my opinion.  But I love BN & Suits.

Work is really quiet today. Going to be a long day

Yeah Groupon finally called me. Will be having an ad break the 2nd week of August! Woot woot!

training

Had underwater training this past weekend with a phenominal instructor, Butch Hendricks.   I met Butch several years ago and had been trained in 2009 with LGS Rapid Deployment SAR.  Butch is like a SCUBA GOD, not to be blaspheming.

He would see all and know all: all the breath counts, the depth's and the positioning of all in the water, whereas the tender wasn't even able to tell where his diver was.


He told me, I was holding the team together. The team would fail without my strong personality keeping it together.  Another person may have puffed up proud of that statement, but that scared the hell out of me. I didn't want that kind of pressure knowing if I fail the team fails. 

But I watched, observed and learned a lot from our training. 

#1) I need to be more agressive and be more leadership material and learn to delegate.

#2) The team needs to get back to the basics.  We need to remember what we are doing and how to accomplish our goals.

#3) We need to find our nitche again.  We used to be one of the top sonar teams in the country.  With today's modern technology and lower prices of technology, we do not hold that status any more

I really feel purposeful right now. Like for this moment in time, I am where I need to be, doing what I need to be doing. Tomorrow this may change.
